MAX benefit for the environment
The 737 MAX gives airlines a 16% improvement in fuel use per seat compared to current competitors, and 50% lower fuel used per seat than an MD-80. This is a substantial step forward in environmental performance. Better airline performance and better environmental performance go hand-in-hand as fuel use is lowered – making the 737 MAX integral to achieving an environmentally responsive airline industry.
Noise will be substantially reduced to levels below the strictest of anticipated international noise regulations, keeping noise within the boundaries of airports around the world.
