Boeing 787 Dreamliner named "Aircraft of Legend"
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has been honored with the “Aircraft of Legend” Award presented by the Living Legends of Aviation organization. Mike Sinnett, vice president and chief project engineer for the 787 program, accepted the award on behalf of the men and women of Boeing and the international team that created the Dreamliner.
Often referred to as the Academy Awards of Aviation, the “Living Legends of Aviation Awards” is a prestigious black tie awards gala in which the Legends of Aviation honor significant contributions to aviation.
Joining Mike Sinnett were other fellow Legends and celebrities, including: John Travolta, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman, Bob Hoover, Tom Cruise, Kurt Russell, Buzz Aldrin, Clay Lacy, Lynn Tilton, Burt and Dick Rutan, Carroll Shelby, Barron Hilton, Kermit Weeks, Joe Clark, Tony Bill, Julie Clark, and Patty Wagstaff
